MH Waters has secured the worldwide licensing to the Medusa Bag
technology, owned by the Canadian based Medusa Corporation. This
technology will enable the development and utilisation of very large
coated flexible bags, uniquely strengthened with an array of straps
for the transportation of potable water by sea.
The Company intends to further develop the Medusa bag technology
by securing water supply and delivery contracts in Australia and
around the world. MH Waters in association with Medusa Corporation
are one of the short-listed proponents on the Kimberley to Perth
Water Initiative, currently under consideration by the State Government
of Western Australia. This initiative is seeking to review and confirm
the viability of transporting 50 to 200 gigalitres of fresh water
from the Kimberley Region to Perth in order to supplement the State’s
long-term water requirements.
Many areas of the world are afflicted by water shortages, or may
be impacted by accute potable water shortages, such as those faced
in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina, and in Asia following
the Tsunami. The EcoTrans™ project, in conjunction with technology
supplied by the Medusa Corporation, will provide supply of potable
water during crises periods when people’s health and lives
are at risk due to lack of drinking water. It is the intention of
MH Waters to deploy Medusa Bags as and when required, using water
from environmentally sustainable sources, to alleviate serious acute
water shortages. |
